A VILLA VALENTINE:
The air is cold, third quarter is in full swing, and love is in the air. This February 14th, I was planning on dressing down in a cute pink sweater; bringing in homemade pink-iced cupcakes; and handing out sparkly Barbie Valentine cards. Things may not have happened quite like that, but Villa’s Valentine gift to us was even better than imagined. Another snow day had come our way.
I love Villa more than anything, but one can never complain about a snow day. The snow this year has been crazy. One can definitely say that we’re living in a real winter wonderland. Plus, the prettiest thing in the world is coming back to Villa after a relaxing snow day and seeing the school all covered in white.
So Valentine’s Day may not have turned out exactly as planned, and maybe I didn’t get to see my friends to hand out my sparkly cards, but going to school at Villa is enough fun without a holiday. Villa was definitely my Valentine this year, because without it, I wouldn’t be who I am today and wouldn’t have met such lovely people to spend each day with.
